NO BONES ABOUT IT!
Occasionally, my husband, Pete, teaches an anatomy class. So I thought it would be fun if Pete came to my first grade class and taught us a little about bones. He brought in a human skeleton and several animal skulls. He talked about the differences between them. Fascinating! Next he showed us how the foot was put together and how the elbow worked.
My students were enthralled, captivated, eyes focused on every word.
"Questions?" Pete asked.
A little girl quickly raised her hand and asked, "Do you have any bones in your mustache?"
(I just smiled!)
